The 2005 GMC Sierra was provided in 3 body styles: extended, crew, and regular cabs. It was available in two trim levels: SL and SLE. Among these two trims, SLE was most popular version that was loaded with standard features, full power accessories, air-conditioning, and a CD player.
2005 GMC Sierra Performance
Powertrain selections, usually a muscular point, included everything from an economical 4.3-liter engine that kicked out 195-horsepower V6 to a strong 6.2-liter V8 along with 403 hp. Majority Sierras, however, would use either 5.3-liter V8 that gave 315-hp, 4.8-liter V8 engine that could give 295-hp or a 6.0-liter V8 engine, which generated 367-hp.
The models that used 5.3-liter engines get matched with a six-speed manual transmission, whereas a four-speed automatic transmission was standard for the broad. Either four- or rear- wheel drive could be specified. A six-speed automatic for maximum was employed to deliver high fuel economy with the 5.3-liter V8 engine that was standard for the XFE package for crew cab versions.
In a Nutshell
The 2005 GMC Sierra had quiet ride, refined, strong performance, well-decorated, and roomy interiors. Very few downsides were associated with the 2005 GMC Sierra, which were issues related to interior ergonomics, and the unreliable performance of the 4-speed automatic transmission.
