The 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 HD is a heavy duty, ‘one-ton’ pickup, full-size pickup that comes with redesigned styling and upgraded features.

Engine and Transmission

The 3500HD has a 6.0-liter Vortec V8, dual rear-wheel (DRW), which powers single rear-wheel (SRW) models. However, both DRW and SRW versions are marketed with the optional 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine too, which can be pretty handy for obtaining additional towing ability. Similarly to all Sierras, the 3500HD is accessible in a variety of bed sizes, cab sizes and drive types, and wheelbases.

Safety Features

The 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 HD is available with conventional safety features including passengers and drive front side air bags, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and tire pressure monitoring system. The Sierra 3500HD is not modified visually from earlier model, but the features like a rearview camera, XM NavTraffic, and accessibility of Bluetooth make it stand out of the lot.

This pickup is also installed with provisions for detecting/anticipating unwanted obstacle intrusion. It is also loaded with a detonation disable device, which will avoid the engine from early starting, if the usual key is not utilized. Thus, 2009 GMC Sierra 3500 HD is a great pickup from the house of General Motors, which doesn’t fail to vow the potential customers!
