The GMC Sierra model released in 2009 came in electric and gas engines, along with six speed automatic transmission. The 2009 Sierra is offered in three different trim models, namely the crew cab, regular and the extended cab styles. The six speed automatic transmission is provided on both the 6.0 V8 and the 5.3 liter V8 engines. The 2009 GMC Sierra has the top towing capacity of about 10,700 pounds.
The Sierra 1500 hybrid model comes with the 6.0 liter V8 model along with an electric motor and in total, the vehicle produces power of 332 hp. Based on the driving needs, it uses either one of the source or uses (only if needed).
