The 2010 GMC Sierra comes with the new V8 turbo diesel engine and its release has been delayed due to the General Motor’s financial problems. The 2010 Sierra comes with no substantial changes when compared with its predecessor model.

It will be offered in three models – the crew cab style, extended and the regular cab models.



The Sierra is designed based on the Chevy Silverado. The regular cab comes with the seating capacity of up to three passengers, while the crew cab and the extended models can accommodate up to 6-passengers. It offers three different bed lengths – the 8 foot long bed, 5.8 foot short and the standard 6.6 foot bed length. It is expected to be boffered in two different interior designs – the luxury inspired and the pure pickup interiors.

The vehicle comes with the engines like 4.3 liter V6 engine that produces 195 hp, 6.2 liter V8 that produces 403 hp, 4.8 liter V8 engine that produces 295 hp, 6.0 liter V8 engine that produces 367 hp and 5.3 liter V8 engine that produces 315 hp. These are equipped based on the bed configuration and the cab style. Some of the engines can run even on the E85 Ethanol blended fuel.

All the models come with the standard rear wheel drive and two different setups are designed for providing off road features like the Z85 and Z83.

The safety features in the vehicle include -

• traction control system,
• curtain side air bags,
• ABS and
• the anti-skid system.
